Footsteps For Progress 5K Run/Walk
Footsteps For Progress is an annual community run and walk organized by Queens Centers for Progress. The event features a 5K run/walk/roll presented as a color bash with a monochrome option, plus a free kids fun run. It is offered in-person with a virtual participation option and takes place rain or shine.
Participants may receive a race tee-shirt and a medal while supplies last. The event concludes with a finish line celebration and offers snacks and drinks provided by local sponsors. Live online, email, and text results are available, along with free video and same-day finish line photos.
Awards are given by gender and age group for top three finishers in each category, plus top overall male and female and a top wheelchair award. Bib pickup is handled in person on race day; registrants who register at least three weeks in advance can receive a personalized race number. Virtual participants receive bibs by mail within a specified shipping window around the event. A self lookup area is provided for anyone who does not know their bib number, and late registrants may receive their bib number by text shortly after registration.
