Footsteps for Families
Footsteps for Families is a fundraising family fun run and activities day on June 13, 2026 at Busse Woods Groves 5-11 in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options.
The event is organized in association with Safe Families for Children and Lydia Home Association. Safe Families for Children aims to prevent child neglect, reduce the number of children entering the child welfare system, and support families in need. Lydia Home Association provides residential treatment, counseling, foster care services, and other family supports in Chicago.
In-person activities include a fun run and walk, a kids dash, registration and t-shirt pick-up, food vendors, carnival stations, bag toss, archery, bubbles, arts and crafts, and family-friendly music from a DJ. Specific grove directions will be provided to registrants. Awards are planned for top fundraisers and teams; awards may be given to virtual or in-person participants.
