Footrace for the Fallen
The Footrace for the Fallen is a running event held in Manchester, New Hampshire, that honors fallen heroes and pays tribute to those in service. The race supports the Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) as its official charity partner.
The event offers the following distance:
- 5k
The course begins at the Manchester Police Department and concludes inside Gill Stadium. Participants run through the streets of Manchester, with the finish line located at 396 Valley Street. Ample city parking is available near the stadium, and city meters are free on Sundays. For safety reasons, dogs are not permitted on the course or inside the stadium.
Registered participants receive a race t-shirt, with availability for the first 1,000 adult and youth registrants. Finishers have access to post-race refreshments including water, bananas, and yogurt. A beer garden is open to participants aged 21 and over. Each finisher also receives a link to a digital video of their finish and access to free digital race photos.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are given to the top three finishers in five-year age categories, ranging from ages 12 and under to 80 and over. A virtual participation option is also available for those unable to attend the in-person event in Manchester. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
