Footprints Forever 5K and 1 Mile Race
The Footprints Forever 5K and 1 Mile Race is the fifth annual event held on October 24, 2026, at Pointe Marie, 14200 River Road, Baton Rouge, LA. The event benefits Maddie's Footprints Greater Baton Rouge, an organization founded in 2010 that provides emotional and financial support to families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or the loss of a child under one year of age.
Event formats include:
- 5K Run (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run / walk
- Virtual Runner option; virtual entries do not include a race T shirt
Registration opens May 11, 2026, and closes September 25, 2026. Registration fees listed by event are $40 for the 5K, $30 for the 1 Mile Fun Run, and $25 for the virtual option. Register by September 24, 2026 to guarantee a race shirt; virtual runners are not included in T shirt orders.
Additional event details include early packet pickup on October 22 at Pointe Marie near the small coffee shop, race day pickup available at the event, and parking in the L’Auberge Casino lot on River Road. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups and for top fundraising team, most participants, and best costumed team. Donations for the top fundraising team must be received by October 22, 2026. A remembrance celebration and tribute options are scheduled during the event.
