Foothills Strong Run
The Foothills Strong Run is a Memorial Day community event on Monday, May 25, 2026, in La Cañada Flintridge. The event is hosted by the YMCA of the Foothills, presented by USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in partnership with the City of La Cañada Flintridge. All events meet at Olberz Park near One Civic Center Drive.
Four events are offered: a timed 5K Run/Walk and three one mile races. The one mile races include a Foothills Fastest 1 Mile, a Dog/Human 1 Mile where one dog is allowed per runner, and a Family Fun Run 1 Mile that welcomes strollers. The 5K runs along Foothill Blvd with a full closure, is timed, and does not allow pets. Finisher medals are awarded in several events; the Fastest and Dog/Human races award medals to the top male and top female finishers. Funds raised will provide YMCA memberships through 2026 for families impacted by the Eaton Fire.
