Fools - Peninsula, OH
Fools is scheduled for May 23, 2026 at Camp Manatoc in Peninsula, Ohio. The event offers multiple trail formats on mostly natural surfaces and provides race services and awards for each event.
The race includes these distances and formats:
- Fools 8 Hour
- Fools Marathon
- Fools Half Marathon
- Fools 10k
Other than a road crossing or two, the course is described as nearly 100 percent trails, ranging from wide open trail to twisting singletrack with notable hills. Course maps are noted as coming soon.
The event provides a supported setup with a fully stocked aid station and space for personal rest areas. Participants receive a triblend tee and a finisher medal. Donations from the event benefit Camp Manatoc, home of the Great Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Awards are given for each event with Top 3 overall male and female and Top 3 in 5 year age groups from 19 and under through 70 and over. The event is part of the Ohio Endurance Series. Participation in four series events qualifies an athlete for consideration as an Ohio Endurance Athlete of the Year and related series recognition.
