Folky Fish Run
The Folky Fish Run is a multi-distance running and walking event held in Maramec Spring Park in St. James, Missouri. The event takes place in conjunction with the annual Folky Fish Fest and features a course that winds through park paths accompanied by music. Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 1 Mile
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
Registration for the event includes a race t-shirt, a finisher medal, live results, and race photos. Top finishers are recognized with awards, including the top three overall male and female finishers and the top two finishers in several age categories ranging from 0-19 to 80+. Specific time limits are in place for safety and logistics: half marathon athletes have a 3.5 hour cutoff, while participants in the 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K must complete their distances within 2 hours.
The event features on-course nutrition providing water and electrolyte drinks. A post-race gathering at the finish line offers music, food, and drinks, including local vendors. Spectators have access to a dedicated area with yard games, a sign-making station for children, and various food options for purchase.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at the St. James Winery Taproom. On race day, a parking fee of $7 per person is collected at the park gate.
