Folkestone Coastal 10K
The Folkestone Coastal 10K is an established UKA registered 10 kilometre road race that follows the seafront from Folkestone toward Hythe and back. The route is a flat promenade, traffic free and chip timed. The event includes a virtual entry option and a separate children's race for under 15s of approximately 600 metres.
The race base is at the eastern entrance of the Coastal Park on the promenade near the bottom of the Leas Cliff Lift (CT20 1PR). Registration and event facilities are located in the closed carpark at that area. There is no car parking available on race day at the start; parking is available in Folkestone Harbour or in town and participants walk up to the start. Headphones are not permitted.
Entry fees vary by category: UKA club members, non members, later entry and on the day rates are published by the organiser, with a virtual entry fee and a small fee for the children’s race. T shirts are available by pre order. Awards include a medal for every finisher, spot prizes, cash prizes for first male and female finishers, team prizes and corporate team awards.
The event supports charitable causes and has partnered with local charities including The Sports Trust. In 2026 almost one thousand runners took part in the 15th edition.
