Distances

The event offers two main distances:

  • 25 km with 1086 m of elevation gain, on technical and steep terrain.
  • 60 km with 2430 m of elevation gain, on technical, steep terrain including a scree section. The 60 km can be run solo or as a two-person relay.

Location

The start and finish are at Folding Mountain Landing, which includes Folding Mountain Brewing, Jasper East Cabins, and Jasper East Hostel. The event is situated near Hinton, Alberta, at the entrance to Jasper National Park.

Course

The courses take runners through rugged alpine terrain with steep climbs and descents. The 60 km route is split into two legs: the Cap Ridge Loop and the Folding Mountain Trail. Both distances feature sweeping views of the Fiddle Range and Athabasca Valley.

Finish Line Celebration

After the race, there is music, local food, and beer from Folding Mountain Brewing available at the finish area.

What's Included

Registration includes a race-branded tee, finisher's medal, on-course nutrition and hydration, post-race food, a beer from Folding Mountain Brewing, and a donation to Hinton Search and Rescue.
