Both the half marathon and 5K are described as flat, paved, out-and-back courses. Clydesdale and Athena are special categories for the 5K; Clydesdale is for men over 225 lbs and Athena is for women over 185 lbs. To qualify for those categories, participants must register in them; those categories are not included in the 5K age group awards.
