Fodderstack 10K
The Fodderstack 10K takes place on April 18, 2026 in Flint Hill, Virginia. Hosted in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Rappahannock County, the race uses a point to point course that follows the hills and valleys between the towns of Flint Hill and Washington. The course begins at the north end of Flint Hill on Route 522 at the Packing Shed and finishes at the courthouse in Washington via Fodderstack Road. Distance: 10 km.
Registration options include tiered fees and discounts. Pre-registration is priced at $35 through February 28, 2026, increases to $40 on March 1 until online registration closes, and is $50 on race day payable by cash or check. Pre-registering youth 17 and under are free. A family rate saves $5 per runner when three or more family members register in a single transaction. Groups of ten or more may receive a $5 per runner discount for pre-registrants using a provided code.
Logistics note the registration area at the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department on Rt. 641 on Fodderstack Road, where registration opens at 7:30 a.m. There is a half mile walk or jog from registration to the start. Ample parking is available at the fire department and in Washington. Bus service runs from Washington to the registration area prior to the race with roughly three to four trips beginning around 7:20, and return buses run after the awards ceremony. Bib exchanges are not allowed.
Awards are given to overall top finishers and age groups, along with awards for the first local county finisher, a family award, and the oldest finisher. Award winners receive painted trophies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
