Fly Sam Fly 5K run/walk
The Fly Sam Fly 5K run/walk is a community 5-kilometer event held in downtown Stanford, Kentucky on 27 September 2026. The course goes through the downtown area and the event location is listed as 204 Church Street, Stanford, KY 40484. Participants may run or walk the 5K distance.
Cupcakes are provided for all participants. Special gift-basket awards with items donated by Kentucky Soaps and Such are presented to top male and top female finishers and to the top master male and top master female finishers. There is also a separate entry option listed as T Shirt Only.
The event is held in memory of a young local man who died in a tragic accident and was established to create and fund an educational fund in his name. The fund supports Lincoln County middle and high school extracurricular programs including cross-country, track, FCA, drama and archery. To date the fund has awarded $71,500 to students and programs affiliated with those schools. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
