Event overview
Flinders Running Festival takes place on 1 March 2026 at Cook St Park, Flinders. The event offers the following distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 km (Kids, under 10)
Every finisher receives a medal. The 1 km kids race is not timed and parents may run alongside without purchasing a second entry. The 10 km has a cut-off time of 1.5 hours. The course is an out-and-back route with ocean views. Dogs, bikes, scooters and rollerblades are not allowed on the course.
Logistics and services
Each competitor receives a disposable timing device built into their race bib. Bibs must be collected on race weekend unless the registrant paid a $10 fee to have the bib mailed out in the bulk mailing about two weeks before the event. Online entries close 27 February 2026 and the event has a limit of 1,000 spots, with limited late and on-day entries available from the race venue.
Aid and facilities include water and sports drink stations approximately every 2.5 km and at the finish, public and portable toilets on site and on course, St John First Aid at the finish and roaming bike crews, bike parking at the event site, and a clothing bag drop area. Age-category awards are given for 5 km and 10 km; the kids race has no awards but spot prizes are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
