Fleet Feet Half Marathon
The 2nd annual Fleet Feet Half Marathon takes place in York, Pennsylvania. The event offers two ways to participate:
- 13.1 Miles
- Virtual Half Marathon
The in-person race begins and ends at John Rudy Park, specifically near the Eastern Hemlock pavilion. The course utilizes the Heritage Rail Trail, providing a scenic route for participants. The course remains open for a duration of four hours. Participants who choose the virtual option can complete the distance on their own schedule and will receive their race packets through the mail.
All runners receive a customized shirt and a spinner medal as part of their entry. Refreshments are provided on-site. The event includes an award ceremony for the top three male and female finishers in various age categories, ranging from 19 and under to 80 and over.
The race supports local organizations through donations, specifically benefiting the York County Rail Trail Authority and the York Parks and Recreation Department. Logistics for the event include multiple days of packet pickup at various locations in Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg, and York in the days leading up to the race.
