Flatrock - Dacula, GA
Flatrock is a trail running event held in Dacula, Georgia. The event includes multiple race options and is organized as looped trail courses that begin and finish at the same location in Harbins Park near 2995 Luke Edwards Rd.
Distances offered:
- 50/50 Challenge
- 50K
- Half Marathon
The course runs on single track through wooded terrain. Trails are described as nontechnical and undulating, with short climbs that typically take a minute or two. The 50K consists of two 13.2-mile loops plus one 5.2-mile loop; the half marathon is one loop. Aid stations are positioned so they are easily accessible to family and friends, and the start/finish area is passed multiple times.
Cutoffs and challenge rules are firm: the 50K cutoff is 9 hours, the 13.2-mile cutoff is 5 hours, and the 50/50 Challenge uses a strict 9-hour cutoff for completing 50 miles. For the 50/50 option, runners who continue beyond the 50K must complete the full 50 miles within that 9-hour limit to receive credit.
Registration is capped; the event has sold out in recent years and registration closes on Oct 10. Entrants receive a race item; finishing 50/50 earns a shirt and a complimentary entry for the following year. Top three men and women in each race receive special recognition and free entry the next year. A flexible race credit and bib transfer policy is available.
