The course follows undulating single-track trails through wooded terrain. Trails are described as non-technical with short hills that generally take a minute or two to climb. Runners pass the main aid station every 6 to 7 miles; the route uses repeated pink and blue loops and begins and ends at the same location. For the 50/50 Challenge, entrants may continue past the 50K to attempt 50 miles but must complete the full 50 miles within the 9 hour cutoff to receive any official credit; successful challengers receive a challenge shirt and a free entry for the following year.
