Events
The event includes multiple distances:
- 5K run
- 10K run
- 2 mile walk
- 1K race for children 10 and under
- 5K ruck (walking or hiking with a weighted backpack)
Location
The event takes place in Menomonee Park in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Parking is not available at the start/finish line; participants must park in lots throughout the park and walk to the start. A park admission fee is required and must be purchased online before arrival.
Course
The course winds through Menomonee Park on park roads. The 5K is one lap around the park, and the 10K is two laps. It is described as relatively flat with only a few small hills. There is one aid station on the course with water, which runners pass once (5K) or twice (10K), and another at the finish line.
Additional Information
The event is part of the Wisconsin Chilly Willy Run Series. All participants receive a finisher woodle (a wooden medal), and the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups receive a custom woodle. There is also an award for the average male and female runner in the 5K event. A hot chocolate bar is available after the race.
Registration includes a custom t-shirt for those who sign up by a specified date. The event uses chip timing. The organizer states refunds are not permitted, and the event will only be canceled due to severe weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
