Flamingo Run for Rescues 5K - Wear Pink
The Flamingo Run for Rescues 5K is an inaugural community event held at Riverbend Park in Jupiter, Florida. Participants can run or walk through the park course to support local animal rescue organizations, including Palm Beach Purrs, Great Dane Rescue of South Florida, Kelly’s Fosters, and Wild Whiskers. Participants are encouraged to wear pink or flamingo-themed clothing, and there is an option for a virtual run.
The following events are available:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk - First Responders, Military and Teachers
- 5K Virtual Run
The race is professionally timed by AccuChip Race Timing. Registered participants receive a high-performance race shirt and a flamingo finisher medal. An awards ceremony follows the event, recognizing top overall finishers and age-group winners three deep. Special prizes are also awarded for the best group costume and the most unique individual costume. Children aged 11 and under can participate for free with a registered adult and receive specialty flamingo swag.
The event site provides amenities such as bathrooms, water, coffee, and light refreshments near the start and finish line. For safety reasons, strollers, animals, scooters, bikes, and skateboards are prohibited on the course. Dogs are not permitted within Riverbend Park.
