Event overview
The Flamingo Run for Rescues is a community 5K event held on May 9, 2026 in Jupiter, Florida at Riverbend Park (9060 Indiantown Road, Jupiter, FL 33478). The event includes a 5K Run/Walk, a 5K category for first responders, military and teachers, a 5K virtual run that does not qualify for awards, and a Sleep In option. Registration includes a high-performance race shirt and a flamingo finisher medal. There is an awards ceremony after the race for overall and age-group finishers, plus flamingo-themed prizes for best group costume and most unique individual costume.
Logistics and policies
The race supports local animal rescues including Palm Beach Purrs, Great Dane Rescue of South Florida, Kelly’s Fosters and Wild Whiskers. Kids 11 and under are free with a registered adult; they do not receive a shirt or medal but will receive flamingo swag. Packet pickup is to be determined. Volunteer opportunities are available, and high school students can receive community service hours. For safety and liability reasons, strollers and animals are prohibited on the course; scooters, bikes, skateboards and similar devices are also not allowed.
