Flamingo Run for Rescues 5K - Wear Pink

This event is sold out for 2026. It takes place on May 9, 2026 in Jupiter, Florida at Riverbend Park, 9060 Indiantown Road. The program includes an in-person 5K run/walk with a category for first responders, military and teachers, plus a virtual 5K option that does not qualify for awards and whose shirt is available for pick up only.

The event supports local animal rescues: Palm Beach Purrs, Great Dane Rescue of South Florida, Kelly’s Fosters and Wild Whiskers. Participants are encouraged to wear pink or flamingo-themed outfits. Music will be provided by a DJ and refreshments are provided by Wycliff Golf and Country Club, Rise and Grind, Bolay and Sprouts.

Registration includes a high-performance race shirt and a flamingo finisher medal. Every in-person participant is greeted at the finish line with a cooling towel and a bottle of water. Official timing is handled by AccuChip Race Timing.

Awards recognize male and female overall top three finishers and male and female age-group top three finishers. Flamingo-themed prizes are given for best group costume and best individual costume; custom flamingo trophies are awarded to first place winners. Kids 11 and under are free with a registered adult; they do not receive a shirt or medal but receive flamingo swag and access to yard games. Strollers are allowed on course. Animals are prohibited on the course and in the park. Scooters, bikes, skateboards and similar devices are not permitted. Access to the course is limited to registered participants wearing the official race bib.

Packet pickup is available at PetSmart Alton, 5350 Donald Ross Rd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL on May 8 with morning and afternoon windows, and onsite packet pickup is available on race day morning.
