Flamingo Run for Rescues 5K
The event is a pink-themed 5 km run or walk held in Jupiter, Florida at Riverbend Park. It includes an in-person 5K with chip timing and a virtual 5K option that does not qualify for awards and has shirt pickup only. Registration fees listed for the in-person races are $30 and $35 for the virtual option.
Proceeds support local animal rescues including Palm Beach Purrs, Great Dane Rescue of South Florida, Kelly’s Fosters and Wild Whiskers. Participants are encouraged to wear pink or flamingo-themed outfits. Music will be provided by a DJ and refreshments will be available from local vendors.
Race registration includes a high-performance race shirt and a flamingo finisher medal. Every runner is given a cooling towel and a bottle of water at the finish. Packet pickup is offered onsite on race day and at a PetSmart location before the race. Timing is provided by a chip timing company.
Awards are presented for male and female overall top finishers three deep, male and female age-group finishers three deep, plus flamingo-themed prizes for best group costume and best individual costume. Children 11 and under may participate free with a registered adult; those children do not receive a shirt or medal but are offered flamingo-themed swag and yard games. Strollers are allowed on course. Animals are prohibited at the park, and scooters, bikes and skateboards are not permitted on the course.
