Flag Day 5K
The Flag Day 5K is a community sports event held in Mentor, Ohio. The gathering takes place at the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood and serves as a celebration of Flag Day and the 250th birthday of the USA. Participants are encouraged to wear patriotic colors, including red, white, and blue, or stars and stripes.
The event features two main participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 2 Mile Walk
The course is open to a wide range of participants, including runners, walkers, and strollers. The atmosphere at the finish line includes music, refreshments, and dedicated areas for photography. All registered participants receive a T-shirt and a finisher medal as part of their registration.
Packet pick-up is available during two separate windows. Early collection is hosted at Second Sole on the Friday preceding the race. On the day of the event, registration materials can be collected at the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood location during the hour leading up to the start.
