FixAddiction Triathlon at Dorney Lake
FixAddiction Triathlon offers two race distances at Dorney Lake, Windsor, an Olympic rowing venue with a closed lake and closed roads. The site is described as having calm waters and a flat course; the route is wheelchair friendly and may be altered up to event day.
The races
- Supersprint - 400 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Sprint - 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
The bike course covers 20 km as four laps; the run is an out-and-back repeated to make 5 km. The event is non-drafting. Water temperature rules apply: swims may be cancelled if under 11°C; wetsuit requirements change with temperature thresholds, and athletes aged over 60 have a higher wetsuit allowance.
Event services and requirements include on-the-day race pack collection, mandatory racking of bikes before the race, and a mandatory helmet for all cyclists. The event uses full chip timing with instant live results; texted results to a mobile device are available for an additional cost. Trophies and medals are awarded, free parking is provided near the clubhouse, toilets are onsite, and limited bag storage is available. The event is registered with British Triathlon and requires participants to hold an appropriate British Triathlon membership or purchase a single-use race pass.
