FixAddiction Triathlon

The FixAddiction Triathlon takes place at Dorney Lake in Windsor, a former Olympic rowing venue. This multi-discipline event features a course utilizing the clear waters of the lake and the surrounding flat, closed roads. Participants can choose between two different distances:

  • SuperSprint Triathlon: A 400m swim, a 10km bike section consisting of lake laps, and a 2.5km run.
  • Sprint Triathlon: A 750m swim, a 20km bike section consisting of 4 laps, and a 5km run made of 2 out-and-back legs.

The event provides chip-timed results and a swim hat for the water segment. The transition area requires all bikes to be racked prior to the start, and helmets are mandatory for the cycling portion. Under British Triathlon Federation rules, wetsuit use is determined by water temperature on the day of the event. Participants who are not BTF affiliated are required to purchase a day licence.

On-site facilities at Dorney Lake include a clubhouse, cafe, shower facilities, and free parking located near the clubhouse. The venue is accessible via several nearby train stations, including Slough, Windsor & Eton Riverside, and Windsor & Eton Central. Every finisher receives a medal, and trophies are awarded to winners. First aid and course marshals are present throughout the venue.
