FixAddiction Triathlon at Dorney Lake
FixAddiction Triathlon takes place at Dorney Lake, an Olympic rowing venue with a closed lake and closed roads. The event offers two race distances and uses a flat bike and run course. The cycle route is four laps to make 20 km and the run is an out-and-back twice to make 5 km. The site is described as wheelchair friendly; the course may be altered up to event day if necessary.
Distances:
- Supersprint: 400 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
Safety and race procedures include full race chip timing with instant live results and results that can be texted to a mobile phone for an additional cost. Participants collect race packs at registration on race day; packs include race number, timing chip and strap, safety pins, and bike and baggage labels. The timing chip must be worn on the right ankle and returned after crossing the finish. All bikes must be racked before the race and helmets are mandatory. The event is non-drafting and is registered with British Triathlon; participants must hold British Triathlon membership or purchase a single-use race pass.
