FixAddiction Triathlon - Dorney Lake, Windsor
The event takes place at Dorney Lake in Windsor and uses the lake and surrounding closed roads. It offers two race formats: a supersprint and a sprint, each including a swim, cycle and run.
Distances:
- Supersprint: 400 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
The cycle course is flat and run course is out-and-back; the bike route is four laps to make 20 km and the run is two out-and-back sections to make 5 km. The site is wheelchair friendly and the swim takes place in calm lake water. The event is non-drafting.
Race organisation and facilities include electronic chip timing with instant live results, optional texted results for an additional cost, trophies for winners, snacks and drinks for entrants, a clubhouse and cafe, free parking close to the clubhouse, and onsite toilets. Limited bag storage is available and race packs are collected on the day.
Participants must hold a British Triathlon membership or purchase a single-use race pass and must wear a helmet while cycling. Wetsuit rules follow stated water temperature thresholds: wetsuits may be required, optional, or prohibited depending on temperature; over-60s have extended allowance for wetsuit use.
