Event Overview
The Fix Events hosts a series of runs at Richmond Park in London, featuring multiple distances within the park's grounds. The event hub is located on the grass area adjacent to the East Sheen Gate carpark. Participants collect their race packs on-site on the morning of the event at the registration tents.
The competition offers three distinct distances:
- 5 km (one lap)
- 10 km (two laps)
- Half Marathon (four laps)
Course Details
The route takes runners through Richmond Park on a course consisting of a mix of country paths, trails, and some cross-country sections. The terrain is described as slightly undulating, including a gradual incline during the first 2 km of the lap. Due to the mixed terrain, trail shoes are recommended. Participants should remain alert for local wildlife, specifically deer, which may cross the paths.
Facilities and Logistics
The event uses a chip-on-bib timing system to record results, which are available immediately after finishing. Water stations are positioned at the start, the finish line, and the 5 km mark. Limited bag storage is available at the event hub.
The venue is accessible by car via the East Sheen Gate (postcode SW14 8BJ), though parking spaces are limited. For those using public transport, Mortlake station is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Sheen area, while Richmond station is a 20-30 minute walk away.
Off-road buggies are permitted on the course. While the event is described as wheelchair friendly, participants should note that certain sections take place on grass and trail surfaces. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
