First Responders 5K & Kids Fun Run - Carver

The SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce organizes the First Responders 5K and a Kids Fun Run as part of Carver Steamboat Days on September 12, 2026. The event takes place at Ironwood Park, 1803 Ironwood Drive, Carver, MN 55315.

Over the past four years the SouthWest Metro Chamber Foundation has donated more than $52,000 in support of local first responders, including the Carver, Chaska, Chanhassen, and Victoria Fire Departments; Chaska Police Department; Carver County Sheriff’s Office; Ridgeview EMS; MN LEMA; and MFFMA. The foundation is expanding support for first responder mental health resources, scholarships for students with first responder parents, and other community initiatives.

The race is scheduled during Carver’s larger Steamboat Days festivities. The day’s activities include a Car Show, MN Marketplace, Kids Zone attractions, live music, family entertainment, fireworks, food and a beer tent. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
