About the race
The First Responders 5K & Kids Fun Run is organized by the SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce as part of Carver Steamboat Days on 09/12/2026 at Ironwood Park, 1803 Ironwood Drive, Carver, MN 55315. This event is the Chamber’s first-ever First Responders 5K and includes a separate kids run.
Distances:
- 5K - registration fee $35
- Kids Fun Run 1K - registration fee $15; first 30 children registered receive a T-shirt
Over the past four years the SouthWest Metro Chamber Foundation has donated more than $52,000 in support of local first responder organizations. Beneficiaries named for past support include the Carver, Chaska, Chanhassen, and Victoria Fire Departments; Chaska Police Department; Carver County Sheriff’s Office; Ridgeview EMS; MN LEMA; and MFFMA. The Foundation plans to expand support toward first responder mental health resources, scholarships for students with first responder parents, and other initiatives.
The race occurs during Carver Steamboat Days, which features a Car Show, MN Marketplace, Kids Zone attractions, live music, family entertainment, fireworks, food, and a beer tent. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
