First-Gen 5k

The First-Gen 5k is scheduled for August 8, 2026, in Ocala, Florida. It is the inaugural edition and is set at Baseline Road Trailhead, 4255 SE 58th Ave, Ocala, FL 34480. Proceeds from the event will support the First Generation Foundation, the Vida Valiente Foundation, and local scholarship initiatives for first-generation students.

The event is a 5k run/walk with chip timing and sponsor booths. Organizers will provide finisher medals and shirts to all participants. Age divisions are 10-19 M/F, 20-29 M/F, 30-39 M/F, 40-49 M/F, and 50+ M/F; awards are given to the top finisher in each division. Drinks will be available before, during, and after the race.
