5k Beer Run x Firetrucker
The Iowa Brewery Running Series organizes an untimed fun run at Firetrucker Brewery in Ankeny, Iowa. The event uses a mapped 5K-ish course on the High Trestle Trail that begins and ends at the brewery taproom. The course is an open course on public roads and trails, so participants are expected to follow traffic laws and remain aware of their surroundings.
Registration includes one craft beverage from Firetrucker and a collector's pint glass or a series swag item. Participants also have access to on site festivities, which may include live music, food trucks, and games when available. Attendees under 21 receive a token for a non alcoholic beverage and all participants must present a valid photo ID to receive age restricted items.
The event is held rain or shine and registration is limited to the taproom capacity. A portion of proceeds from this event supports a local nonprofit; the Brewery Running Series reports more than $700,000 raised across all states to date. Ticket options range from free to paid entries with prices up to USD 117.79. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
