The Firehawk 5k & 1 Mile is organized by the UT Southern Cross Country program and is held on the UT Southern East Campus in Pulaski, Tennessee. The event is described as the 4th annual edition. Profits from the race go to the UT Southern men’s and women’s cross country and track & field programs.

Registration and awards
The event allows race day registration. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrants; participants who register after early registration may receive shirts by mail after the race.
The 5k has awards for overall male and female, overall masters male and female, and 1st through 3rd in age groups. Age groups are: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over.
