Firecracker Trek Sherman
The Firecracker Trek is a trail run on July 4, 2026 in Sherman, Texas, based at Herman Baker Park (2500 W. Center St., Sherman, TX 75092). The event offers the following distances:

The course uses sections of the Herman Baker Trail and part of the Binkley Park Trail. Terrain includes technical rock and dirt single track, rocky and rooty sections, bridges, rolling hills, cliffside views, switchbacks, and flowing rivers. Each 5K loop includes slight elevation changes. Historic average July temperatures around 96 degrees Fahrenheit (36 C) are noted for the area.
This is a cupless race; participants should bring a personal cup or bottle because cups are not provided. Parking is at the main parking lot near the start and finish area. Pre-race packet pickup and a race brief are provided; the course is marked and supported with aid station hydration and snacks. Event services also include on-course photography and finish gear.
Finisher recognition includes a Firecracker Trek water bottle provided to participants as their finisher item. Awards are given for top finishers by gender, an Old Timer division for age 50 and older, and a Dead Freakin' Last award. Registration closes at midnight before the race or when the 100 participant capacity is reached; no race day registration is available.
