Firecracker Crunch
The Firecracker Crunch is a rebranded edition of the Firecracker Chase held on July 4, 2026 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in Fayetteville, Tennessee. The event features a single timed running race of 5K run on the horse racing track.
The course runs on smaller gravel around the track; trail shoes are not required. The route is a large loop with one aid station that runners pass twice. The event will be cupless; participants must provide their own water bottle. Water and LMNT electrolyte packets will be available at the aid station. Restrooms are located under the grandstands.
Timing will be done manually for this edition. Organizers intend to return to an official timing system if registration and conditions allow in future years. All participants will receive a medal. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in these divisions: 0-17 male, 0-17 female, 18+ male, and 18+ female.
Entry to the fairgrounds is via the Hedgemont Avenue gate; parking near the track area is available. Registration opens April 13, 2026 and closes July 3, 2026; the stated registration fee for the 5K is $20.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
