Firecracker 5K - The Woodlands
The Firecracker 5K is a one-time patriotic road race held on July 2, 2026, along The Woodlands Waterway in The Woodlands, Texas. The event is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department and is sanctioned by USA Track and Field (USATF). The chip-timed course winds throughout The Woodlands Waterway and is described as scenic, with awards for overall male and female finishers and first through third place in male and female age groups. There will not be an awards ceremony; awards will be distributed onsite. A photo area will be available for participants.
The race is recommended for participants ages 10 and older. Strollers are not permitted on the course per USATF sanction requirements. There will be no race day registration; only pre-registered participants may compete. Race day packet pickup is available only to pre-registered entrants who paid the additional Race Day Packet Pickup fee.
Packet pickup is scheduled on June 30 and July 1, 2026, at The Woodlands Township Townhall Board Chambers, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., with pickup hours listed by the organizer. The registration fee is $50 and includes a participant t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a participant packet. Refunds are available in full until June 11, 2026, subject to processing exclusions noted by the organizer.
