Firecracker 5K - The Woodlands
The Firecracker 5K is a one time only patriotic road race held on July 2, 2026 along The Woodlands Waterway. The event is produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department and is sanctioned by USA Track and Field. The chip timed 5K course winds throughout The Woodlands Waterway and is described as a scenic route that supports timed results and age group awards.
Awards are provided for overall male and female finishers and for first, second and third place in male and female age groups. Awards will be distributed onsite; there will not be a formal awards ceremony. A photo area will be available for participants. Strollers are not permitted on the course per USATF sanction requirements. The race is recommended for participants ages 10 and older.
Registration details specify a $50 entry fee that includes a participant t shirt, finisher medal and participant packet. There is no race day registration; only pre registered participants may pick up packets on race day and only if they paid the separate $10 Race Day Packet Pickup fee. Packet pickup is scheduled June 30 and July 1 at The Woodlands Township Townhall Board Chambers, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. Refunds are available in full until June 11, 2026 excluding processing fees.
