Firecracker 5K - Galva
The Galva Recreation hosts the 13th annual Firecracker 5K Run/Walk on July 4, 2026 at Lynn Baldwin Memorial Park in Galva, Kansas. The event raises funds to assist Canton-Galva youth activities and is organized as a community run/walk.
The single 5K course runs on concrete and paved roads within the city limits of Galva. The course is described as fast and flat, family-friendly, and stroller friendly, making it appropriate for participants of different ages and walking or running paces. The route begins and finishes at Lynn Baldwin Memorial Park.
Awards are given to the top male and female overall finishers and to the top male and female finisher in each age division. Age divisions are 12 & under, 13-18, 19-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 55-65, and 66 & up.
Registration opens January 21, 2026 and closes July 3, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
