Event Overview
The Firecracker 5K is organized by the Columbus Running Club. The event raises funds for high school scholarships for students in Bartholomew County.
Course Details
The race covers a distance of 5K. The course is primarily on a paved trail in an out-and-back configuration. There is one controlled road crossing along the route.
Event Amenities
Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers, who receive gift certificates to White River Running Co. Age group winners, in 10-year age groups for males and females, also receive gift certificates to White River Running Co. Refreshments, including fruit, water, sports drink, and snacks, are available at the finish line. Water and sports drink are also provided near the course's turnaround point.
Logistics
Race-day registration and packet pick-up are available at the start/finish area. Parking is available in the lot at the corner of Vickers Drive and Poshard Drive, along Poshard Drive west of Vickers Drive, and in the parking lot by the soccer stadium west of the start, accessible from Poshard Dr. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
