Event Overview
The Firecracker 5K is an annual running event organized by the Columbus Running Club in Columbus, Indiana. Proceeds from the race are used to provide high school scholarships for students in Bartholomew County. The event takes place on a paved trail with an out and back configuration, featuring one controlled road crossing for participant safety.

Amenities and Awards
Participants have access to refreshments including fruit, water, sports drinks, and snacks at the finish line. An additional hydration station providing water and sports drinks is located near the turnaround point of the course. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as to the top male and female performers in ten-year age groups. These awards consist of gift certificates to the White River Running Co.
Logistics
Parking is available in multiple locations near the start and finish area. Options include the lot at the corner of Vickers Drive and Poshard Drive, as well as along Poshard Drive to the west of Vickers Drive. Additionally, the parking lot by the soccer stadium, located west of the start line, is accessible from Poshard Drive.
