Firecracker 5K Run/Walk City of Boca Raton
The event is a measured 5K run/walk held on July 4, 2026, on the Florida Atlantic University campus in Boca Raton, with a course that passes through palm tree lined areas of the campus. Timing is provided by AccuChip on the measured course.
Registration is limited to the first 1,000 registrants. Race apparel and finisher medals are offered, with medals and shirts guaranteed to the first 1,000 registered. The published registration fee is $40 and the price increases after July 1; registration closes on July 1, 2026. Participants are advised to be able to complete the 5K course in about 70 minutes or less.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and top three female finishers in each age division. Age divisions are organized in five year increments, beginning with 10 and under and continuing through 70 and over.
Packet pickup is available at Runner's Edge, 3195 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, from June 28 until July 3 during store hours (Monday to Friday 10:00 to 18:00, Saturday 10:00 to 17:00, Sunday 11:00 to 16:00), and also on race morning at the event.
