Firecracker 5K - Ansonia
The Ansonia Fire Department will hold the annual Firecracker 5K on July 4, 2026 at Ansonia High School, 600 Canal Street, Ansonia, Ohio. The event is presented as a community fundraiser to help offset the rising costs of maintaining and updating fire department equipment.
Registration opens January 8, 2026 and closes June 21, 2026. The registration fee is $25. Early sign up discounts apply for registrations completed before June 21. There is no day of race registration. Race shirts are available with registration through June 21, and a dry fit shirt option is offered.
The race will use the same course as in prior years, running along shaded country roads. Awards include medals for the top three finishers in each age category for both male and female divisions, recognition for the top three male and top three female overall, and an award for first place team overall.
