Event Details
The Firecracker 5K and 1 Mile Sparkler Run takes place in Annandale, Minnesota. The event is a fundraiser supporting the St John's Lutheran Church Children, Youth, and Family Fund, as well as other groups in Annandale.
Courses
The event offers two distances:
- 1 Mile Sparkler Run/Walk
- Firecracker 5K
Both courses start and finish near Annandale Municipal Park, in the area of the town's 4th of July celebration. Street parking is available near the park.
Awards and Recognition
The event awards prizes and certificates. Cash prizes and a picture frame are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. Additional prizes are given for the fastest stroller mile, the fastest combined time for both races, and the best 4th of July themed attire.
Age group certificates are awarded for numerous categories in both the 1 Mile and 5K events.

Packet pick-up begins on the day of the event. Race shirts are not included with the registration fee but can be purchased separately. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
