The Firecracker 5K & 1 Mile Sparkler Run takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Annandale, MN (300 Oak Ave N, 55302). The event includes two distances:
- 1 Mile Sparkler Run
- Firecracker 5K
Registration fees listed are $19.99 for each event, with a reduced rate of $15 for ages 1 to 12. The listed price increases after December 31, 2025. The races start and finish near Annandale Municipal Park. Street parking is available near the park. Race shirts are not included with registration and were available for purchase until June 22, 2025. Packet pick-up is offered onsite at 315 Oak Ave N and also at the event on race day.
Purpose and awards
The event is a fundraiser supporting the St John’s Lutheran Church Children, Youth, and Family Fund and other groups around Annandale that support the event. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in both the 1 Mile and the 5K, with cash prizes for first through third places. Additional awards include fastest stroller mile, fastest combined 5K plus 1 Mile time, and best 4th of July themed attire.
