Firecracker 10K, 5K and Mile - Hot Springs, SD - July 4, 2026
This event offers three running distances organized at Chautauqua Park in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Races start and finish at Chautauqua Park, which is located on County Road 18B about one third of a mile past Evans Plunge. For runner safety, parking is not allowed inside the park; parking is available at the Evans Plunge bus lot.

Medals are awarded to the first and second place finishers in each division. Divisions are defined by gender and age group. Registrations completed by June 18 guarantee a 39th Anniversary T-shirt in the requested size; registrations after that date do not guarantee a T-shirt or a specific size. Standard online entry fees list $25 for participants age 16 and over and $15 for participants age 15 and under for each distance. Race day registration rates are higher and do not guarantee a T-shirt.
