About the race
The Irish Life Fingal 10 km is a community road race held in Swords with a measured route that starts and finishes on Balheary Road. The course is described as fast and flat and follows Balheary Road for the opening 4 km, turns left onto Harlockstown Lane to the 6 km mark, then onto Magillstown Road until the 9 km point, rejoining Balheary Road for the final kilometre and finishing just past the Scout Den.
Hydration stations are located at the 3 km and 6 km marks, and a medical station is positioned close to the finish area. Race numbers are posted to entrants in advance with the timing chip attached to the back of the race number; race number collection is not available on event day. Replacements for lost numbers carry a fee.
A baggage drop is available on Balheary Road at the exit of Seatown West; bags are left at the owner’s risk. Toilets are provided near the start area. An official pace team provides pacers for 45, 50, 55 and 60 minute finish times, identifiable by large balloons.
Parking options include two hours free parking at the Pavilions Car Park and an all day rate at Swords Plaza Public Car Park. A bike park will be available near the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
