Fighting the Fight Within 5K (FFW) : Cadillac, MI
Fighting the Fight Within 5K takes place on August 8, 2026, at Veterans Serving Veterans Community Park, 3740 S. 41 Rd., Cadillac, Michigan. The event is organized by 22 2 None and hosted at the VSV Community Park, a nonprofit that honors and serves those who have served at home and abroad.
The day includes these distances:
- 5K timed run
- 1-mile tribute walk
The 5K is professionally timed and is part of the 2026 Traverse City Track Club Grand Prix Circuit Races. The 1-mile is an untimed tribute walk. Participants are encouraged to wear patriotic colors or shirts representing a military branch and may choose one or more names to carry during the run or walk.
Awards will include overall top male and female winners who are then not eligible in age groups, plus the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 9 and under; 10-13; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
Fees listed by the organizer include a 5K cost of $35, a reduced rate of $20 for ages 8 to 18, a 1-mile cost of $22, and free entry for children 5 and under with no event swag. An additional online processing fee applies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
