Festival of the Bells 5K

The Festival of the Bells 5K takes place in Hillsboro, Ohio as part of the Festival of the Bells on July 4, 2026. The event includes a main 5K race and a short course Kids Fun Run for children 11 and under. The 5K route begins in historic uptown Hillsboro and runs on paved surfaces throughout the City of Hillsboro.

This event is chip timed and presents awards for top finishers in age categories following the race. The uptown area displays C.S. bells; the C.S. Bell Company produced cast iron bells in Hillsboro beginning in 1858. Packet pick up and same day registration are available on race day, but no late entries will be permitted for safety reasons as this is a road race.

Registration for the 5K has a fee of $25 which includes a timing chip and a race shirt. Pre register by Monday, June 22, 2026 to order a shirt; entries after that date will not receive a shirt. Shirt styles include ladies racerback tank, unisex tank, and t shirt in sizes XS to 3XL. The Kids Fun Run is held at the same location and has a fee of $5; the short course length will be modified for varying ages and skill levels.
