The Athlete's Foot Fernleigh 15 - Sunday 18 October 2026
The Athlete's Foot Fernleigh 15 is a point to point running event along the Fernleigh Track between Adamstown and Belmont. The event uses exclusive track access and the Fernleigh Track is closed to the public for the duration of the race. The start is at the corner of Park Avenue and Bailey Street in Adamstown and the finish is at the park by Belmont TAFE on Alick Street in Belmont.
The course follows the Fernleigh Track for the full 15 km. There are four aid stations offering water and electrolyte (Tailwind brand) located at roughly 3 km, 5 km, 9 km and 12 km, with public toilets available near the 5 km and 9 km locations. The track narrows to about 4 metres in places; wave starts are organised by age group to reduce congestion. A secure bag drop at the start will transport bags to the finish for collection.
Race timing uses a chip system and live interim results are published on race day. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal in the recovery area. Prize money is awarded to the overall run winners: 1st $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $200; eligibility requires starting in the elite wave. The event includes junior categories and a separate 1500 m children’s run. Refunds follow a structured policy with reduced amounts closer to the event date.
