The Athlete's Foot Fernleigh 15

The Athlete's Foot Fernleigh 15 is a 15 km point-to-point event along the Fernleigh Track between Adamstown and Belmont. The event uses the track exclusively for its duration; the Fernleigh Track is closed to the public while the event is underway. The course starts at the corner of Park Avenue and Bailey Street in Adamstown and finishes at the park off the Fernleigh Track at Belmont TAFE on Alick Street.

Wave starts are organised by age group to manage traffic on the narrow, often 4 metre wide track. The start area is compact and participants are marshalled to the start via a designated path and traffic-controlled crossing. A secure bag drop is available at the start and all bags are moved to the finish for collection.

Race services include four aid stations with water and electrolyte at approx 3.1 km, 5.2 km (toilets), 9.2 km (toilets) and 11.8 km, onsite first aid at the start, on course and at the finish, and live interim results on race day. Each finisher receives a custom event medal.

Categories cover adults and juniors with age bands; overall winners are excluded from age category placings. Prize money is awarded to the top three overall finishers, with eligibility for prize money requiring entry in the elite wave. A cutoff time of 2 hours 30 minutes from the last wave is in place.
