Fenton Firecracker 5K & 2K Run/Walk
The Fenton Firecracker is an annual running event held in Fenton, Michigan. This local tradition takes place on July 4th, scheduled just before the community's Independence Day parade. The event serves as a fitness activity for both competitive athletes and casual participants.
Registration is available for two distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 2K Run/Walk (also referred to as 2.5K)
The course starts at the intersection of Mill Street and S. Adelaide, with participants heading north. Every individual who completes their event receives a finisher medal and a T-shirt.
Packet pickup is arranged at the Freedom Center Church on Shiawassee Avenue during designated hours on June 30th. For those unable to attend the advance pickup, materials can be collected on the morning of the event at the race site. The starting area is located near RegenCen on Mill Street. Following the conclusion of the races, participants are invited to stay in the area to observe the Fenton 4th of July Parade. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
