Feed My Starving Children Run : Green Bay MobilePack 5K
The event is a charity 5K running race held on September 18, 2027 at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane, Green Bay, Wisconsin. The entry fee is $30 and the majority of registration proceeds support the local Green Bay MobilePack for Feed My Starving Children.
The race supports a food program that purchases and hand packs MannaPack Rice with local volunteers. At a cost of 29 cents per meal, a $30 entry covers the equivalent of 103 MannaPack Rice meals. Packaged meals are shipped to mission partners in over 70 countries. Ten local churches sponsor and plan the MobilePack effort each year.
The Green Bay MobilePack is scheduled for the first week of October at Green Bay Community Church and is in its 15th year. The previous MobilePack packed 676,512 meals with 3,307 volunteers. The current target is to pay for and pack 650,000 meals at a cost of $188,500.
The course is set in Howard, Wisconsin, beginning in the Green Bay Community Church parking lot, passing through neighborhoods and scenic areas, and returning to the church. Event amenities include indoor bathrooms, on site parking in the large Cardinal Lane lot, packet pickup in the Cardinal Lane entrance lobby on the day prior, live streamed race results, text result delivery, music, raffles, refreshments, and awards for top adult and youth finishers.
