FBE Juneteenth 5K - San Diego
Fit, Black, and Educated, Inc. presents the 6th Annual FBE Juneteenth 5K in San Diego on June 20, 2026. The event takes place at 641 S. Boundary St., San Diego, CA 92102, and brings the community together to mark Juneteenth through movement and celebration.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 5K in person
- 3.1 miles Virtual 5K
- 3.1 miles Community registration no medal guaranteed
- 0.62 miles 1K Kids Freedom Dash
Paid registrations include a finisher medal, race bib, and access to a post-race celebration. Optional race shirts are available as add-ons while supplies last. Virtual participants receive a finisher medal and race bib and may complete their 5K at a location of their choice. A limited number of free community registration spots are available; medals and shirts are not guaranteed for those registrants.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when news reached Galveston, Texas that enslaved people were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. The FBE Juneteenth 5K frames this history alongside goals of health, wellness, unity, and community remembrance through running, walking, or rolling.
