Fathers Day Fun Run - Bunbury
The Fathers Day Fun Run is a family event held at Big Swamp Parkland / Reserve that combines a walk or run with on-site food and a car display. The event includes a coffee van and a coffee station near the start/finish area, and the Bunbury Men's Shed team will provide free pancakes for entrants. A Radiators Car Club display is planned, weather permitting. All money raised is donated to Men’s Shed Bunbury.
Distances are offered as lap options:
- One lap: about 2.2–2.5 km
- Two laps: about 4.5–5 km
The running route follows the perimeter path around Big Swamp Parkland. Key streets and points on the clockwise circuit include Prince Philip Drive (southern and western boundary), Boab Court, Vincana Lane / Plaza Street, Jack Kenny Lane and Tuart Street, returning via the southern portion of Prince Philip Drive. Landmarks include Big Swamp Parkland, Big Swamp Reserve and the nearby wildlife park.
Entry cost is stated as $5 and a donation to the Men’s Shed is appreciated. The Bunbury Men’s Shed is an initiative of the Rotary Club of South Bunbury and is described as a place for social and occupational interaction where members can discuss men’s health, retirement, travel, projects and develop friendships and skills.
