Fathers Day Fun Run - Bunbury
The event is a family-oriented fun run and walk held at Big Swamp Parkland / Reserve in Bunbury. It is organised by the Bunbury Runners Club with proceeds donated to Men’s Shed Bunbury. Entry costs $5 and an additional donation to the Men’s Shed is appreciated.
Participants follow a circuit around the Big Swamp perimeter path. Course navigation uses local roads and paths including Prince Philip Drive, Boab Court, Vincana Lane / Plaza Street, Jack Kenny Lane and Tuart Street. Key landmarks include Big Swamp Parkland, Big Swamp Reserve and the nearby Wildlife Park. A coffee station is located close to the start/finish area on Prince Philip Drive.
Additional event features are a car and motorbike display arranged with a local car club, a coffee van and free pancakes provided by the Men’s Shed team. The Men’s Shed is described as a community initiative that provides social and occupational interaction, opportunities to discuss men’s health, retirement, travel and project work, and a place for new friendships and shared skills.
