Bunbury 3 Waters Running Festival : 45th year
The Bunbury 3 Waters Running Festival takes place in Bunbury, Western Australia, on Sunday 11 April 2027. Organised by the Bunbury Runners Club since 1982, the event uses the clubrooms at 1 Ocean Drive as its base.
All courses are distance certified and together form a single signature lap that passes three bodies of water: Leschenault Inlet, Koombana Bay and the Indian Ocean. Marathon entrants complete two certified laps of the same route. The course includes a boardwalk, mangrove reserve, a coastal exposed section with ocean wind, and a climb to the Marlston Hill lighthouse with a zig zag descent.
Four race distances are offered:
- 42.2 km Marathon, two certified laps
- 21.1 km Half marathon, one certified lap
- 10 km, including Big Swamp and the lighthouse hill
- 5 km, out and back on Ocean Drive for runners and walkers
Entries include chip timing with official splits, a finisher medal cast for the anniversary year, and an engraved finisher cup for completers. Aid stations are provided approximately every 5 km with water, electrolyte and fuel; personal nutrition drop-off is available at multiple stations. Club members receive a 10% entry discount.
