Event Details
The Father’s Day Classic takes place on June 21, 2026 in Long Beach, California. The start location is Alamitos Beach at 780 E Shoreline Dr.
Course
The event offers four distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 Mile
- Half Marathon
The races use an out-and-back course on a beach path. The courses for the different distances are built using laps of a 5K route and a 5 Mile route:
- The 5K uses the 5K route once.
- The 10K uses the 5K route twice.
- The 10 Mile uses the 5 Mile route twice.
- The Half Marathon uses the 5 Mile route twice and the 5K route once.
The beach path is open to the public, so participants may encounter other users. Participants are asked to stay on the right side of the path, which is designated for pedestrians.
On-Course Support
A fully stocked water station is located along the course. The finish line has an aid station with water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. A first aid kit is available at each station, and crew members have CPR training. Course turns are marked with chalk, signs, and flags.
Participant Information
All finishers receive a medal. Overall first-place medals are awarded to the first male and female finisher in each distance. Bib pickup opens at 6:20 AM. Participants are asked to wear their race bib on the front of their shirt for timing and photography. Personal items can be left at a gear check at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag.
Parking in the lot costs $2 per hour, starting at 8:00 AM. Those running the half marathon or 10-mile can use the Passport app to pay for parking. Street parking is free.
