Father's Day Classic - Long Beach
The Father's Day Classic is a multi-distance running event held at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, California on 06/21/2026. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 Mile
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
The course uses out-and-back routes on the beach path. The 5K route is used for the 5K and repeated for the 10K. The 10 Mile course uses a 5 mile loop run twice. The half marathon combines the 5 mile loop twice plus the 5K loop. The beach path is an open course shared with other users; runners are asked to keep to the right side while cyclists use the left side.
On-course support includes a fully stocked water station and a finish aid station with water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. Each aid station has a first aid kit and crew members who have received CPR training. Course turns are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags. There is a time limit of 3 hours and 20 minutes for the half marathon and 10 mile courses.
Race operations note that bibs should be worn on the front of the shirt for timing and photo tracking. A staffed gear check is available at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag. Parking in the nearby lot is $2 per hour and street parking is free. All finishers receive a medal; overall first male and female in each distance receive first place medals. Results and race photos are distributed after the event.
