Event overview
The Father’s Day Classic takes place on June 21, 2026 in Long Beach, CA, at 780 E Shoreline Ave. The event is held on the beach path and is intended as an outdoor run, jog, or walk to celebrate father figures. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10-Miler
- Half marathon
Registration and photo results are managed by the event host. Race photos are provided free and results are emailed the day after the race.
Course and on-course support
The event uses out-and-back routes. The 5K route serves as one lap for the 5K and two laps for the 10K. The 10-mile distance uses a 5-mile loop run twice. The half marathon uses the 5-mile loop twice plus the 5K route once. The beach path is an open course; pedestrians are asked to stay to the right and cyclists to the left. The course has a time limit of 3 hours and 20 minutes for the half marathon and the 10-mile race.
A fully stocked water station is located at the Belmont Pier. The finish area has an aid station with water, Gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. Each aid station has a first aid kit, turns are marked with chalk, signs, and flags, and event crew have received CPR training.
Logistics and awards
Parking in the event lot is paid at $2 per hour; street parking is free. The Passport app may be used for lot payment for some distances. Bibs must be worn on the front of the shirt for timing and photography. Gear check is available at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag. Overall first-place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance. An early start option may be arranged for half marathoners; early starters are not eligible for awards.
