The Fat Ass Full Frosty Beaver Moon Half is a free, low key, unsupported trail run organized by Flat Feats in Winnipeg. The route travels along the Red River, the Seine River and Fermor and follows a trail course that starts and ends at The Forks in downtown Winnipeg.
The total distance of the run is 21.1 km, the standard half marathon distance. There is no event check in; the stated gathering point is by the Esplanade Riel Bridge between the two stone structures near the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. The event is listed as part of the Manitoba Association of Trail Runners single track runs.
Organizers note there is no on-course support and participants should bring their own water and food. A headlamp is recommended for this trail run. Route materials are published in map, GPX and printable formats. After the run there is an informal opportunity to meet for food or a drink at The Forks; spectators are welcome.
