Fastest On The Farm returns to the Winelands Obstacle Worx at Klein Joostenberg Farm in Stellenbosch. This event focuses on a high-speed obstacle course racing format held on a dedicated course in the Western Cape. Participants navigate a series of obstacles and carries, including segments where they must move heavy objects over, under, and through various structures.
The event features a variety of distances and categories to accommodate different age groups and competitive preferences:
- 3 km Elite Fastest Farmer (Male and Female)
- 3 km Fun Farmer (Male and Female)
- 3 km Junior (Male and Female, ages 15-18)
- 2 km Youth (Male and Female, ages 10-14)
- 100 m Sprint (Male and Female)
The 3 km course is designed for speed and includes a mix of physical obstacles and weighted carries. The Elite categories are reserved for competitive participants and are the only categories eligible for prizes. For those seeking a non-competitive experience, the Fun Farmer category emphasizes a social atmosphere.
The 100 m sprint race is a short-distance addition that takes place after the longer batches have concluded. For the younger participants in the Youth category, the course distance is approximately 2 km and may include adjustments to the obstacles. To manage the flow of the course, participants start in small batches of approximately 10 people. The venue is located at Klein Joostenberg Farm on the R304 in Muldersvlei.
