Fast Track Trail Race

Fast Track Trail Race is held at George Wyth State Park in Waterloo, Iowa. The event offers two trail distances on well-maintained dirt single track that runs through woods, prairie, and lakefront sections. Trails are primarily smooth with some grassy and open segments, and the route features gentle rollers without major climbs.

The event is in its fifth year and provides race bibs for 2026, professional race photos, handcrafted awards, and food and drinks at the finish area near Canfield Shelter, including Casey's breakfast pizza. Course format and support details are provided so participants can plan for on-course needs.

Distances

• 13K single loop on runnable dirt single track
• 25K two-loop course, repeat of the same loop for added endurance

Support on course is limited. Aid is available at the start/finish area and at the beginning of the second loop for 25K runners, with water, electrolyte, and fuel options provided. Participants are advised to carry personal hydration and nutrition as this is a low-support race. The loop format of the 25K allows runners to use course familiarity on the second lap for pacing and strategy. Post-race food and drinks are available near the finish area.
