2026 Fast & Furry
Fast & Furry takes place at Assiniboine Park, Pavilion Crescent, Winnipeg, MB, Canada on April 26, 2026. The event is presented by Manitoba Hydro and the event contact is Manitoba Marathon.
Participants can choose between:
- 5 km run or walk, in person or virtual
- 10 km run or walk, in person or virtual
All participants receive an event shirt, a custom race bib, a finisher medal and a matching pet tag medal. Dogs receive a bandana and a special treat. Virtual participants receive a package and may choose in person pick up or shipping for an additional fee.
Post race treats are provided by Oh Donuts for people and Trail Dog Treats for dogs. The event encourages support for K9 Advocacy Manitoba.
Pet safety guidance is provided. Key points include bringing only well socialized dogs, watching for signs of stress, using a harness when recommended, leaving space between dogs, asking permission before interactions, and bringing poop bags and water.
