Fancourt Marathon - George, Western Cape
The Fancourt Marathon is held on 17 October 2026 at The Ridge, Fancourt in George, Western Cape. The event offers long and middle distance road races that mix tar, gravel and farm roads with sections through golf course terrain and rural farmland.

- 21.1 km Half marathon route
The marathon route passes the Links Experience and The Links Golf Course for the first 10 km and then continues on tar and gravel roads through dairy and berry farms before returning to The Ridge. The half marathon climbs Strawberry Hill and then joins the marathon route back into Fancourt. Both routes include dirt tracks and farm roads; road running shoes are appropriate, with gravel shoes acceptable for some sections.
The event is held under the rules of ASWD and ASA and is timed by Bout Time using a chip in the race bib. Cut off times are 3.5 hours for the half marathon and 5.5 hours for the full marathon. Drinking stations are provided at roughly 3 km intervals and water is available at the finish. Medals are awarded to finishers who complete their distance within the cut off time.
