Family Weekend Run, Walk & Roll 5K - Tucson, AZ
This event is an inclusive community 5K hosted on the University of Arizona campus at the Old Main area during Family Weekend. It welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, and proceeds support University of Arizona students through the Arizona Foundation with a focus on scholarships and basic needs initiatives.
Distances and formats offered:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kids Dash - half mile, untimed, parents may accompany children
- Virtual Run - participants receive a shirt and medal by mail; virtual entries limited to US addresses
Registration includes a custom finisher medal and a Dri-Fit tech shirt with an option to decline the shirt for a small discount. Male and female age-group awards are presented to the top three finishers for race day participants across standard age divisions from 8 & under through 80 & over. The event uses chip timing with real-time results and event photos available online and via the mobile app.
On-site amenities include a pre- and post-race runner's brunch with items such as granola bars, fruit, water, and sports drink. Packet pick-up is available the day before and on event day at the University of Arizona Mall. The course is stroller and wheelchair friendly; roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed. Leashed pets are welcome. The event proceeds rain or shine and there are no refunds.
