About the race
Family Weekend Run, Walk & Roll 5K is a community event on October 4, 2026 at the Old Main Building and the University of Arizona Mall in Tucson, Arizona. Students and families are invited to participate in an inclusive event that welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. Proceeds support University of Arizona students, with a focus on student prevention and wellness initiatives.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kids Dash : half mile, untimed for younger participants
- Virtual Run : US addresses only; shirt and medal mailed after the event
Registration details note that there are no refunds. Participants who cannot attend in person may switch to the virtual option by October 1. Packet pick-up is available the day before on Saturday, October 3 and on race day at the University of Arizona Mall. The event is managed by StartLine Racing and virtual registrations include shipping of event items after the event date.
Participants receive a custom event finisher's medal and a custom Dri-Fit tech shirt, with an option to decline the shirt for a $5 discount. Male and female age group awards are given to the top three in each age group for race day participants only; age groups run from 8 & under through 80 & over. The event is chip timed with real time results and photos available online or via mobile app.
Course guidance and rules: wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are welcome; roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed on course. Leashed pets are permitted. There is no bag check due to the common start and finish, and the event proceeds rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
