ASICS Falmouth Road Race
The Falmouth Road Race is a long-standing athletic event in Falmouth, Massachusetts, first established in 1973. Held during the summer season, the race follows an iconic 7-mile seaside course that attracts a diverse field of participants, including international Olympians, elite athletes, and recreational runners. The event is managed by a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting health and fitness.
The race weekend features or is associated with several distinct events:
- 7-mile road race
- Health and Fitness Expo
- Falmouth Track Festival, including the Falmouth Elite Mile
- Tommy Cochary High School Mile
- SBLI Family Fun Run for children aged 2-12
- Adaptive and wheelchair divisions
Participants have several ways to enter the event. There are specific application windows for Falmouth residents and taxpayers in early May, followed by a general application period. Runners may also secure guaranteed entry by joining one of the Massachusetts-based charity teams through the Numbers for Nonprofits program. For those unable to attend in person, an "At-Home Edition" is available, allowing runners to complete the distance from their own locations.
The event infrastructure includes a medical team, a volunteer program, and a professional photography service that captures participant images. Complementary activities include a participant digital event bag and a health expo featuring various vendors and sponsors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
